Students at Darbi College participate in a National Geographic Society Project
A group of students from Darbi College organized an initiative to participate in a National Geographic Society project. As an international school offering British programmes, Darbi College is committed to supporting its students in socially and environmentally responsible volunteer projects.
The Darbi College students, who are the founding members of the Ecology club at the school, developed an educational project to raise environmental awareness among small children. The students created a mascot of the campaign – Maxi, who is a spur-thighed tortoise facing extinction, to help them reinforce the message.
The students planned educational tours to nursery schools to teach the youngest lessons about how to deal with waste and keep our planet clean. The first visit from the environmental education program was to Zvezditsa Nursery School to teach children about waste and how to manage it through fun games, riddles and stories. See how excited our students and the nursery children were!
