STEP

•    STEP (Sixth Term Examination Paper) is used by the Universities of Cambridge, Warwick, Bristol, East Anglia, Oxford, Bath and Imperial College London and others for admission to undergraduate courses in Mathematics, Computer Science and their joint degrees.

Test format:
•    STEP is a paper-based 3-hour test. Candidates are usually required to sit either one or two of the examinations, depending on the requirements of the universities they have applied to.
•    STEP Mathematics 1 – The paper consists of 13 questions: 8 Pure Mathematics, 3 Mechanics and 2 Probability and Statistics based on A Level Mathematics content. Candidates should answer 6 choice questions for 3 hours.
•    STEP Mathematics 2 – The paper consists of 13 questions: 8 Pure Mathematics, 3 Mechanics and 2 Probability and Statistics based on A Level Mathematics content. Candidates should answer 6 choice questions for 3 hours.
•    STEP Mathematics 3 – The paper consists of 13 questions – 8 Pure Mathematics, 3 Mechanics and 2 Probability and Statistics based on A Level Further Mathematics content. Candidates should answer 6 choice questions for 3 hours.
